RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts child injured in trailer accident

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a girl to hospital, after she was seriously injured while a vehicle was being loaded onto a trailer, in the Bundaberg region.

It’s believed the vehicle moved, trapping the girl between it and the trailer winch.

The chopper was tasked to the scene, at a private property, at 5.30pm.

The aeromedical team and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics worked together to treat the primary school-aged child for chest and abdominal injuries.

She was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, in a serious condition.
