RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts injured motorbike rider

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured man to hospital, after he crashed his dirt bike, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, earlier today.

The rescue chopper was sent to the scene around 11:30am, where the pilot was able to land the aircraft in a clearing nearby.

Due to the terrain, where the accident had occurred, the injured rider was transported to the waiting helicopter by the Queensland Ambulance Service.

The man, aged in his forties, suffered lower body injuries and was flown in a stable condition to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
