The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight helicopter crew has flown a motorbike rider to hospital, after he collided with a car in the Sunshine Coast region, this afternoon.
It’s believed the man was riding with a group of motorcyclists when he crashed into the back of a car, which had been attempting to turn onto the road from a private property.
The motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries, including to his pelvis, as a result of the crash.
The rescue helicopter was called into action just before midday.
The helicopter pilot landed the aircraft near the scene of the incident, where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic met with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient.
The motorbike rider, who is aged in his 60s, was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
