LifeFlight airlifts motorbike rider after accident

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man to hospital this morning, after the motorbike he was riding was involved in an accident. 

The rescue chopper was tasked to the scene in the Noosa region at around 6:30am. 

The pilot landed the aircraft on a grassy area near the incident.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the patient, aged in his 50s, for multiple injuries.

He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
