LifeFlight airlifts man after farm motorcycle incident

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital following a motorcycle crash on a private property in the Toowoomba region.

It is believed the man in his 20s crashed into a tree and was found unconscious by friends.

The LifeFlight crew was able to land the helicopter on a gravel driveway at 9.04am and local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics drove the patient to the helicopter.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat the man for serious injuries including suspected head trauma, an abdominal injury and significant chest injuries.

He was stabilised at the scene and flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
