Woman airlifted after crash with truck

The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a woman to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in the Western Downs region this morning.

The helicopter was in the area when it was tasked to the incident at about 11.30am, landing on the road near the crash site.

The female patient in her 40s suffered multiple traumatic injuries after the car she was travelling in collided with a truck.

The helicopter crew worked with Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to stabilise the patient on site before she was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
