RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts woman to hospital after horse fall

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after she was involved in a horse-riding incident in the Fraser Coast region, late this afternoon.

It’s believed the woman fell off the horse at a private property, causing her to suffer suspected pelvic and shoulder injuries.

The rescue chopper was called into action shortly before 6pm (Sunday 12th May).

The pilot landed the aircraft near the scene of the incident, where the aeromedical crew met with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient.

She was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
